A Premier Sporting Destination
Nestled in Northern Illinois just off I-39, this family-run club opened in July 2019 and spans 250 acres, including 150 acres dedicated to prime upland cover. The varied terrain — featuring fields, hills, valleys, water features, and woods — makes it a standout location for bird hunts and clay target disciplines.
Founded by owners with deep agricultural roots and competitive shooting experience, Rock Ridge combines authenticity with top-quality sporting facilities.
Upland Hunting Experiences
Accessible daily by appointment only, these experiences are tailored to both solo hunters and groups.
The club provides experienced guides and a talented kennel of bird dogs to enhance each hunt.
It boasts a diverse bird supply: pheasants, chukar partridge, and quail roam across prime habitat and cover crops.
Clay Shooting Excellence
Open to both members and the public, Rock Ridge hosts a full range of clay sports known for their scenic, challenging setups:
Disciplines offered: Sporting Clays, Super Sporting, FITASC, 5-Stand, and Skeet.
Facilities include:
Automated throwers (70 total).
"Pay-as-you-go" target system.
Full variety of White Flyer target designs.
Updated and varied target presentations.
Rental carts (electric for $20, walking push carts free), elevated stands, and gravel paths.
Pricing & Membership (2025–26 Season)
Membership Packages
Individual Membership (Clays & Pheasant) – $950: Includes 500 clays and 18 pheasants.
Individual Pheasant Only – $950: Includes 25 pheasants.
Corporate (Clays & Pheasant) – $2,500: Up to 5 named members, 1,000 clays, 50 pheasants.
Corporate Pheasant Only – $2,500: Up to 5 named members, includes 60 pheasants.
Corporate Super Hunter – $3,400: Includes 100 pheasants, free bird cleaning, and other premium benefits.
Non-member Hunting Rates
$150 per hunter, includes 4 pheasants.
Additional birds: Pheasants $25 ($30 after Jan 1), Chukars $16 ($19 after Jan 1).
Other details:
Guests: $20 per gun; members can bring up to 10 different guests per season; same guest max twice. Immediate family not counted.
Minimum release: 3 pheasants per gun.
Guide fee: $100 per hunt, plus gratuity.
Bird cleaning: $3 per bird; included with Super Hunter membership.
Hunting season: October 18, 2025 – March 29, 2026. Availability of birds guaranteed until March 8, 2026.
Clay Target Pricing
Daily Pay-As-You-Go: $0.50 per target.
Preloaded Target Cards:
500 targets — $225 ($0.45 each)
1,000 targets — $400 ($0.40 each)
2,000 targets — $700 ($0.35 each)
Cards can be shared and never expire.
Skeet – $7 per 25-target round.
Ammo: $9–$12 per box.
Cart rental: $20; walking push carts complimentary.
Instruction:
One-on-one: $125/hour
Private group (up to 5): $100/hour
