Dear ISCA/NSCA members please welcome Blackhawk Area Council Camp Lowden Course to the family of Illinois Sporting Clays Courses.
Join us individually or with a group to enjoy our stunning sporting clays course, which is meticulously designed to cater to the needs of both beginners and seasoned participants alike. Nestled amidst a picturesque forest, the course offers an immersive experience that combines the beauty of nature with the thrill of shooting sports.
Course Features
The sporting clays course features a total of 15 thoughtfully arranged stations, each presenting unique challenges and opportunities for skill development. Participants can engage in both report pairs and true pairs, which adds an exciting layer of complexity to the shooting experience. Whether you are new to the sport or have years of experience under your belt, you'll find that our course provides an excellent environment to hone your skills, engage in friendly competition, or simply enjoy a day outdoors.
Pricing and Requirements
The fee to participate in this exhilarating activity is $50 per participant, which includes access to 100 targets. This pricing structure ensures that everyone can take part in the fun without breaking the bank. However, it is important for Illinois residents to note that a valid FOID (Firearm Owner’s Identification) card is required for participation. This regulation is in place to promote responsible gun ownership and safety.
What to Bring
Participants are kindly reminded to bring their own shotguns and ammunition, as these are not provided on-site. It’s advisable to check your equipment beforehand to ensure everything is in proper working order. Additionally, please remember that alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited on the premises. This policy is designed to maintain a safe and respectful environment for all participants.
Schedule and Location
The Blackhawk Area Council Sporting Course welcomes the public on the second Saturday of each month from May to October. Shooting activities commence promptly at 9 AM, so we encourage all participants to arrive by 8:45 AM for check-in. This allows ample time for registration and ensures that everyone is ready to start on time.
Our course is conveniently located at 4418 S Scout Rd, Oregon, IL, 61061, making it accessible for both local residents and visitors. The serene surroundings and well-maintained facilities create an inviting atmosphere that enhances the overall experience.
