WSRC 2026 Opener - January 10-11, 2026

World Shooting & Recreation Center is excited to announce the upcoming 2026 Opener Sporting Clays Tournament, set for Saturday and Sunday, January 10-11, 2026. Participants have the option to join for one day or both. This highly anticipated event offers an exhilarating experience for shooting enthusiasts and competitors, featuring a total of 200 targets, with 100 targets on each of the North and South courses.

We encourage participants to register early to secure their spots and get acquainted with the courses beforehand. The World Shooting & Recreation Center is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone, with staff on hand to assist and ensure the tournament proceeds smoothly.

Sporting Clays at WSRC

Sporting clays is a challenging clay target discipline designed to simulate field shooting.

On a sporting clays course, shooters are presented with a variety of targets that duplicate the flight path of game birds, such as flushing, crossing, incoming and other angling shots.

Courses are laid out in natural surroundings and typically include 15 shooting stations, with shooters moving from one station to the next to complete the course. Each station presents shooters with a different type of shot.

The World Shooting and Recreational Complex has two courses consisting of 15 stations each. One course is set at a challenging level, and the second course is set at a pleasant novice level.

Five-stand shooting can be set up for special events and corporate outings, along with flurry, long bird and doubles.

Sporting Clays Hours

• Jan. 1 through March 31: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Sunday 

• April 1 through Dec. 31: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
