Great Shooting Opportunities Across Illinois
One of the best things about sporting clays in Illinois is the variety of clubs, courses, and target presentations available throughout the state.
The 2027 schedule includes events hosted by clubs in northern, central, and southern Illinois, including:
Northern Illinois: Northbrook Sports Club in Hainesville and Rock Ridge Sportsmens Club in Davis Junction.
Central Illinois: Oak Ridge Sportsman's Club in Mackinaw, Jacksonville Sportsmans Club in Jacksonville, FLC Shooting Grounds in White Hall, and Joker's Wild Sporting Clays in Chesterfield.
Western and Southwestern Illinois: NILO Farms in Brighton and Otter Creek Hunting Club in Jerseyville.
Southern Illinois: Rend Lake Shooting Complex in Whittington and the World Shooting and Recreational Complex in Sparta.
Each club brings something different to the shooting experience. Different terrain, course layouts, target presentations, and shooting communities make traveling to another club part of the fun.
Make 2027 the year you try a new club! You might discover a new favorite course, meet some great people, and find a few targets that challenge your shooting skills.
Something for Every Shooter
You don't have to be a championship-level competitor to enjoy registered sporting clays.
Throughout the year, Illinois clubs host monthly shoots, 100- and 200-target competitions, Sporting and FITASC events, and special tournaments. These shoots offer plenty of opportunities to gain experience, improve your game, and enjoy a little friendly competition.
If you've been thinking about trying your first tournament, 2027 is a great time to get started! Our participating clubs and fellow competitors are a terrific resource for anyone new to registered shooting.
And for our regular competitors, there's no shortage of opportunities to challenge yourself throughout the season.
