Congratulations to our own Philip Puckorius

Philip Puckorius has been an NSCA Level III Instructor and Certifying Instructor since 2020, having earned his Level I Instructor certification in 1994

The National Sporting Clays Association is pleased to announce the selection of Philip Puckorius of Chicago as the new NSCA Chief Instructor and Dominic Grossi of Rosharon, Texas, as Assistant Chief Instructor.

“Phil and Dominic were chosen through a highly competitive selection process in which they distinguished themselves as the top choices for these critical roles,” said Michael Hampton Jr., NSSA-NSCA Executive Director, in announcing the appointments. “Their expertise and enthusiasm will be instrumental as we embark on several new projects, ensuring that these initiatives are launched and completed efficiently,”

Together, Puckorius and Grossi will oversee the NSCA Instructor Certification Course schedule, evaluate and update course curriculum and instructional manuals, and develop a continuing education program designed to increase instructor engagement and long-term involvement.

Philip Puckorius has been an NSCA Level III Instructor and Certifying Instructor since 2020, having earned his Level I Instructor certification in 1994. A Life Member of the NSCA, Phil remains actively engaged in instruction throughout the year. He has also designed and delivered continuing education courses in partnership with the North Star Clay Target Foundation.

Dominic Grossi is an NSCA Level II Certified Instructor, Life Member, and a professional sporting clays and FITASC competitor

Dominic Grossi is an NSCA Level II Certified Instructor, Life Member, and a professional sporting clays and FITASC competitor. A nine-time member of the USA Sporting Clays Team, Dominic brings more than a decade of instructional experience working with shooters of all skill levels. He has also collaborated extensively with members of the newly developed Champion Coaches Circle as these shooting professionals are integrated into the program.

Both will begin working immediately with current Chief Instructor Don Currie and NSCA headquarters to ensure a seamless transition into their new roles. Currie announced last fall that he was stepping down after 12 years as Chief Instructor. “Congratulations to both Phil and Dominic,” said Currie. “I certified both of them in their current levels, have taught with Phil, and know both will do a great job. They are wonderful choices and will represent NSCA well. I look forward to working with them as we transition the program leadership over the next several weeks.”
