Sporting clays enthusiasts will once again have the opportunity to enjoy a day on the course while making a meaningful difference in the lives of others during the 22nd Annual Larry Wallden Clay Shoot, benefiting the Multiple Sclerosis Clinic at the OSF HealthCare Illinois Neurological Institute.
The annual fundraiser will be held on Friday, August 14, at Oak Ridge Sportsman's Club in Mackinaw, Illinois. The event brings together shooters, sponsors, volunteers, and community supporters to raise critical funds that help provide specialized care and support services for individuals living with multiple sclerosis throughout Central Illinois.
The day's activities begin with registration and brunch at 10:00 a.m., followed by an 11:00 a.m. shotgun start. Participants will enjoy a challenging sporting clays course before gathering for dinner and awards at 3:00 p.m. Event organizers note that alcoholic beverages will be available only after shooting has concluded and all firearms have been safely cased.
Individuals and teams are invited to participate, with registration options available for both experienced shooters and newcomers to the sport. Businesses can further support the event through sponsorship opportunities that include team entries, event signage, recognition, and promotional exposure. Sponsor packages include four- and five-person teams, ammunition, food, beverages, and team recognition throughout the event.
For more than two decades, the Larry Wallden Clay Shoot has combined outdoor recreation with philanthropy, creating an enjoyable day of friendly competition while helping advance patient care. Every registration and sponsorship contributes to the ongoing mission of the OSF HealthCare Foundation by supporting the specialized services offered through the Illinois Neurological Institute's MS Clinic.
Those unable to attend are still encouraged to support the cause through a charitable donation. Every contribution helps ensure that patients living with multiple sclerosis continue to receive compassionate, innovative care close to home.
Registration is available online through the OSF HealthCare Foundation, and early registration is encouraged as team spots are limited. Participants with questions or those interested in sponsorship opportunities may contact the event coordinators for additional information.
Whether you're an avid sporting clays competitor, a casual shooter, or simply looking for a meaningful way to give back, the 22nd Annual Larry Wallden Clay Shoot offers the perfect opportunity to enjoy a great day outdoors while supporting a cause that impacts countless families across the region.
